Can I combine themes or create my own custom parties?
Yes, we can definitely accommodate customized themes. Contact us and we can talk through your ideas and how we can make it happen. There may be additional costs associated with custom themes depending on the materials and Facilitators required.
Can you accommodate party-goers with special needs or allergies?
Yes, in most cases we can accommodate any special requirements of your party-goers, such as, children with disabilities and allergies. You can provide details on your booking request form, or contact us to discuss further.
We do ask that you advise us of any allergies or special requirements that your party-goers have that you are aware of. All of our materials are non-toxic and child-friendly, however, knowing if someone has a particular allergy allows us to minimize any risks where possible and provide the safest party environment we can.
How far will you travel to deliver a party?
Our party packages include parties within the Greater Brisbane and Gold Coast regions, including the local government boundaries of:
We can also travel as far as Sunshine Coast, Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley Somerset Region and, in some cases, Northern NSW. Travel in these areas will attract an additional fee.
Are your Creative Facilitators trained and qualified to work with children?
Yes, absolutely. All our Creative Facilitators have a Blue Card (police clearance for work with children) or will be supervised by someone who does. They all undergo training on how to work with children and deliver safe, fun and engaging sessions.
How many Creative Facilitators attend the party?
We have a 1:8 ratio for our parties with one Creative Facilitator attending for every 8 children. If you would like to have more than one Facilitator attend your party, this may be possible at an additional cost – please just note this on your booking request or contact us. For our double theme parties, we have two Creative Facilitators attend.
Sometimes, we may have extra Creative Facilitators attend who are in training or are there to support our Facilitator. We will let you know if they will be attending your party. Just think of them as extra pairs of hands at no extra cost!
Do your Creative Facilitators speak English?
While our Creative Facilitators come from all around the world (and speak many languages) they are all fluent or have a good level of English or will be supported by someone who can assist them with any potential language barriers.
How do I pay for my party?
To confirm your party booking, you must pay a $50 deposit. Details of how to make this deposit will be sent to you by email with your party booking confirmation. This deposit is non-refundable if you cancel the party within 14 days of the party date. Payment of the remaining amount can be made prior to the party by EFT or debit/credit card or at the party by debit/credit card or cash.
Can I cancel or change the date or details of my party?
In most cases, yes. However, date or detail changes will be dependent on availability of Creative Facilitators.
You can also cancel your party. However, if you do this within 14 days of the party booking date, you will lose your $50 deposit. This covers our administration time and any materials we may have ordered in.
What is a Social Enterprise?
A Social Enterprise is a business that has been established for social good or in other words – profit for purpose. Ethni has been established for two purposes: to provide a platform for cultural knowledge and creative talents to be shared through unique products and services. In turn, it also provides end-to-end training, mentoring and employment opportunities for young women from culturally diverse backgrounds, who otherwise face barriers or challenges to meaningful employment.
In addition to providing employment, a portion of our profits are reinvested into our Creative Futures program to create more training and mentoring opportunities for young women.
