From the artist

Hi there! My name is Adorel, and I am an artist and graphic designer from Melbourne, Australia. As a young Asian Australian woman, I feel very passionate about cultural and gender equality. Thus, when this opportunity arose to create a t-shirt design that conveys the themes of sisterhood, diversity, culture, and equality, I knew it would be an incredibly personal and meaningful project. It was with this excitement that this concept came to fruition. I decided to depict faces blooming and position the statement “We Got You Girl” as the spine that holds this piece together. Moreover, my design depicts the beauty in the union of diverse cultures. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words; I hope that this art piece can vocalise the importance of sisterhood and how it can create positive change.
